Abstract: METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RENDERING SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT FOR AUDIO CONTENT IN HMD DEVICES Disclosed subject matter relates to method and HMD device 103 for rendering surrounding environment for audio content in HMD devices. Method includes capturing one or more images of surrounding environment of user 101 wearing HMD device 103, upon detecting an initiation of playback of an audio content in HMD device 103. Subsequently, 3D geometric representation of surrounding environment and surface texture for each of one or more objects in 3D geometric representation is generated. Further, one or more predefined characteristics associated with predefined audio features of audio content are determined, relevant to which, modified 3D geometric representation of surrounding environment is generated based on modification of surface texture of one or more objects. Thereafter, surrounding environment is rendered based on modified 3D geometric representation during playback of audio content. In this manner, present disclosure performs efficient modification of 3D geometric representation based on audio content playing in HMD. Fig. 1
