Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a method for correcting a digital map (30) comprising: performing a calibration phase (3) with the following steps: selecting a first map section (33) of the digital map (30); checking the first map section (33) for errors (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) and correcting the errors (50) found in the first map section (33) in a first correction stage (4); checking the corrected first map section (33) for errors (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) and correcting the errors (50) found in the corrected first map section (33) in a further correction stage (5, 6, 7, 8); and repeating the further correction stage (7, 8, 43, 44) until, after at least two successive correction stages (7, 8, 43, 44), less than a predetermined number of errors (12, 13), in particular no errors (50), are found.
