The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method (900) for managing a scheduling priority of a user equipment (UE) (204) in a cellular network (CN) (206). Initially, a base station (BS) (202) receives, from the UE 204, a radio resource control (RRC) establishment request comprising an establishment cause and corresponding to a signaling request or a data transfer request. Based on the establishment cause, the BS (202) generates a priority indicator flag indicating a UE access class. A scheduler of the BS (202) determines whether the UE access class is a high priority access (HPA) class based on the priority indicator flag. Upon determining the UE’s access class as the HPA, the scheduler (208) prioritizes the signaling request between the UE (204) and the CN (206) based on the priority indicator flag and prioritizes the data transfer request between the UE (204) and the CN (206) based on the priority indicator flag.
