Abstract: The present application discloses a method and apparatus used in a node for wireless communication. A first receiver receives a first information block, wherein the first information block indicates a reference time domain resource set, and the reference time domain resource set comprises one or more symbols configured as DL by higher layer parameters. A first transmitter transmits first random access preambles in first PRACH occasions, wherein a candidate set of the first PRACH occasions is a first PRACH occasion set or a second PRACH occasion set; when the transmission of the first random access preambles belongs to a first type of random access process, the candidate set of the first PRACH occasions is the first PRACH occasion set; and when the transmission of the first random access preambles belongs to a second type of random access process, the candidate set of the first PRACH occasions is the second PRACH occasion set. The present application reduces latency, thereby improving system performance.
