Inventors include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Prof. Savita Rathoad; Dr. Paras Jain; Aby T M; and Vandana Tilve.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to portable apparatus for comprehensive knee joint assessment with integrated multi-modal sensing and instant results display. The apparatus comprises a housing (102) for single-handed grip, a multi-axis inertial measurement unit (104), a load cell (106) having a force-sensing axis projecting through a load application pad, a bioimpedance measurement circuit (110), a contact pressure sensor array (112), and a hardware processor (118) configured to determine a knee joint flexion angle; compute a laxity metric based on force data from the load cell (106) and displacement data derived from the multi-axis inertial measurement unit (104); compute an effusion index acquired from the bioimpedance measurement circuit (110); and automatically capture measurement values.
