Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus and system (502, 600, 700) for assessing risk associated with artificial intelligence (AI) components for use in an AI application. In an embodiment, a method includes receiving a request to assess risk associated with a plurality of AI components. The request to assess the risk includes a target source associated with the AI components. The method includes discovering the plurality of AI components suitable for use in the AI application from the target source, scanning the discovered AI components using scan engines based on predefined risk categories associated with each discovered AI component, computing a component risk score associated with each discovered AI component based on the output of the scan engines, and recommending one or more AI components for use in the AI application from the discovered AI components based on the component risk score associated with the respective AI components.
