Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION METAL CONJUGATED HYDROXY POLYCARBOXYLATE COMPOUNDS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF The invention disclosed herein relates to novel metal conjugated hydroxy polycarboxylate compounds of Formula-I for treating disorders associated with the dysregulation of the sodium-dependent dicarboxylate transporter NaDC-1 (SLC13A2). Further, the present invention relates to a novel, scalable in-situ process for the preparation of these metal conjugated hydroxy polycarboxylate compounds, comprising viable, autogenous semi-solid reactive granulation process for the single- vessel preparation of said metal conjugated hydroxy polycarboxylate compounds, utilizing high-shear neutralization and in-situ exothermic devolatilization to achieve high purity and high yield. The formulated compounds are highly useful in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, diabetic kidney disease, nephrolithiasis, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, and related metabolic conditions.
