Abstract: ABSTRACT MESSAGING-BASED ACCESS AND CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a Messaging-Based Access and Control System (100) and method (200) for managing electric vehicle (EV) charging, offering a secure, user-friendly, and remotely accessible solution. The system includes an EV charging socket (106) with an integrated power metering unit and an Internet of Things (IoT) based Switch (106a) to control power delivery. A QR code (106b) uniquely identifies the socket, enabling user authorization via a mobile messaging application (110). The system also comprises a home cloud server (104), an EV entity database server (112), and a messaging cloud server (108) to facilitate communication and execute operational requests. Users can monitor energy consumption, receive notifications, and manage charging sessions through the application or a web portal (102). Additionally, the system incorporates automatic switching mechanisms to prevent energy wastage by ensuring no power is drawn by idle off-board chargers, optimizing resource utilization while enhancing convenience and efficiency.
