Abstract: Abstract A medical image security device employing digital watermarking is disclosed for secure exchange of medical images using digital watermarking. The system receives DICOM or lossless medical images, patient identifiers, hospital or doctor identifiers, timestamps, hash codes and access tokens from PACS systems, imaging devices, clinicians, cloud-health servers and telemedicine users through an input interface. A conditioning portion prepares the received input by filtering, normalizing, parsing, segmenting or otherwise converting the input into a structured representation suited to the particular processing task. A decision portion then conditions a medical image, generates encrypted watermark data, embeds the watermark using spatial or transform-domain processing, transmits the watermarked image and verifies integrity by extracting and comparing watermark information. The system generates watermarked medical images, authentic or altered image decisions, unauthorized access indications and forensic trace records through an output interface and stores a corresponding processing record. The arrangement links acquisition, conditioning, decision processing and output generation in one operative chain, because patient-identifying data and a hash-based integrity code are embedded within the image processing workflow before transmission.
