MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641079932 A) filed by Sona College Of Technology on June 29, 2026, for Mechanical Sequential Power Authorization System With Torque-Gated Interlock Architecture.
Inventors include Jagadeeshwaran A; Yamuna K S; and Shivakumar R.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The invention discloses a Sequential Torque-Gated Power Activation Module with Position-Interlocked Circuits, a purely mechanical, sequentially validated power activation system configured to authorize electrical power flow only after execution of a rigorously defined multi-stage torque and angular displacement protocol. Each actuator in the sequence interfaces with a torque- governed clutch and a geometry-calibrated cam mechanism, ensuring that the required torque (2 ± 0.3 N•m) and angular positioning (90° ± 5°) are mechanically validated before permitting advancement to the subsequent stage. The final actuator delivers a strictly regulated bridging of high-conductivity contacts, completing a circuit rated up to 480 V AC / 32 A to enable controlled energy conduction. During deactivation, coordinated torsional recovery forces re-establish all locked states within 0.8 seconds, ensuring a deterministic, self-resetting condition. The system implements mechanical logic equivalence entirely without electronic assistance, providing total immunity to moisture, particulates, electromagnetic fields, and unauthorized manipulation. Comparative evaluation confirms 95% conduction efficiency, sub-0.8-second response delay, and dimensional integrity under 1 MPa structural loading.
