Abstract: The present invention relates to a Mechanical Package for Recording Cumulative Thermal Exposure During Cold Chain Transportation for monitoring temperature- sensitive products during storage, handling, and transportation. The package comprises an insulated housing enclosing a passive thermal sensing assembly, a mechanical actuator, a transmission mechanism, and a mechanical exposure indicator. Thermal energy absorbed by the package is detected by the sensing assembly and converted into controlled mechanical movement through the actuator. The transmission mechanism progressively transfers the movement to a mechanical indicator, thereby recording cumulative thermal exposure over time. A locking mechanism prevents reverse movement, ensuring that the recorded thermal history remains permanent even after subsequent cooling. The recorded exposure is displayed through a transparent inspection window using a dial, pointer, or graduated scale for easy visual inspection. The invention operates entirely without batteries, electronic circuits, wireless communication, or external power sources. The package minimizes false indications caused by short-duration temperature fluctuations through calibrated mechanical response characteristics. The insulated housing protects the internal components from moisture, dust, vibration, and mechanical damage during transportation. The mechanical design provides a reliable and irreversible record of cumulative thermal exposure throughout the cold chain. The package is suitable for monitoring vaccines, pharmaceuticals, blood products, biological samples, food products, dairy products, and other temperature-sensitive materials. The invention enables rapid assessment of product quality without requiring specialized equipment or data retrieval systems. The passive mechanical architecture reduces maintenance requirements, improves operational reliability, and lowers implementation costs compared to conventional electronic monitoring devices. The invention therefore provides an efficient, durable, and cost-effective solution for ensuring product safety, quality assurance, and integrity throughout the cold chain distribution process.
