Abstract: The present invention provides a mechanical assembly and positioning mechanism for an artificial intelligence-based medical X-ray radiology machine. The mechanism comprises a structural support assembly, X-ray source support assembly, imaging detector support assembly, actuators, positional sensors, an artificial intelligence processing unit, and a positioning controller. The AI processing unit determines target positioning parameters according to an imaging examination, while the positioning controller compares the target parameters with sensed mechanical positions and controls the actuators to establish a desired source-detector configuration. Closed-loop feedback enables correction of positioning deviations and improves repeatability. Safety sensors can detect travel limits, obstruction, excessive load, and abnormal movement. A stabilization arrangement maintains the selected configuration during exposure. AI-based post-image assessment may further generate corrective positioning parameters for subsequent imaging.
