The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanical airflow activated ventilation controller for crowded public waiting areas, and particularly to a passive mechanical ventilation control system configured to regulate airflow in response to variations in air movement within an occupied space. The invention comprises a ventilation housing, an airflow-responsive vane, a calibrated spring mechanism, a lever linkage, a connecting rod and an adjustable ventilation damper. The airflow-responsive vane is positioned within an incoming or circulating airflow path and is configured to undergo mechanical displacement when the airflow increases due to increased occupancy or reduced air quality conditions. The displacement of the vane is transmitted through the lever linkage and connecting rod to progressively operate the ventilation damper, thereby increasing the discharge of stale or warm air from the waiting area. When the airflow decreases, the calibrated spring returns the vane and associated linkage toward its initial position, thereby reducing the opening of the damper. The system operates automatically through mechanical interaction and does not require electrical power, electronic sensors, software control or external actuation for its basic operation. The adjustable threshold mechanism enables the sensitivity of the controller to be varied according to the ventilation requirements of the particular waiting area. The invention provides a simple, economical, durable and low- maintenance solution for improving ventilation in crowded public spaces such as bus stations, railway stations, hospitals, airports, public offices and other enclosed waiting areas.
