In the first place, the cover device (20) comprises a cover body (21) configured to be placed over the light emitting body (1), which cover body (21) is provided with a detection opening (22). In the second place, the cover device (20) comprises a support arrangement (24) located on the cover body (21) at an exterior side of the cover body (21) and configured to receive and support a measuring apparatus (30b) configured to measure light output characteristics of the light emitting body (1), in such a way that at least a functional detection portion of the measuring apparatus (30b) is at the position of the detection opening (22) in the cover body (21).
