A method comprises receiving, at a first apparatus and from a second apparatus, a radio resource control (RRC) message including a measurement reporting configuration associated with at least one cell configured for the first apparatus; and receiving, from the second apparatus, at least one medium access control (MAC) message including at least one command associated with at least one of a layer 1 (L1) measurement, L1 reporting or a layer 3 (L3) measurement, the at least one of the L1 measurement, the L1 reporting or the L3 measurement being associated with the at least one cell.
