Abstract: ABSTRACT MATCHED-ZONE CAUSAL VERIFICATION AND HARDWARE-GATED IRRIGATION AUTHORIZATION SYSTEM A precision-irrigation control system (100) for a crop region (102) having crop sub-zones (104) includes a sensing subsystem (110), an irrigation network (112) with a diagnostic irrigation path (114) and diagnostic valve (116) delivering a bounded diagnostic water quantity, a production irrigation path (118) with a production actuator (120) and production-authority gate (122), a delivery-verification sensor (124), a control-exposure sensor (126), response sensors (128), and a supervisory controller (130) having a matched-zone selector (132), integrity evaluator (134) and response evaluator (136). The matched-zone selector (132) selects a baseline-matched treatment sub-zone (106) and untreated control sub-zone (108), rejecting pairs with excessive predicted intervention transfer. The production-authority gate (122) keeps the production actuator (120) restricted during the diagnostic test and releases the production actuator (120) upon a valid test, verified by delivered dose and control non-exposure, and confirmed water-responsive behavior.
