Abstract: Abstract The marine plastic pollution detection and recovery system, which uses artificial intelligencebased sorting technology, is a cutting-edge environmental protection solution that aims to eliminate plastic trash in oceans, rivers, and coastal areas. Increasing plastic pollution has 5 become a severe hazard to marine life, aquatic ecosystems, and human safety. Traditional cleansing procedures are sometimes inefficient, time-consuming, and involve significant physical labour. To address these difficulties, the suggested system combines sensors, artificial intelligence, automation, and wireless communication technologies to Improve maritime trash management. The system detects and monitors floating plastic garbage using 10 ultrasonic, turbidity, and infrared sensors. A camera module uses AI-based image processing to identifY and classify plastic materials depending on their nature and recyclability. A microcontroller-controlled smart sorting machine mechanically separates the collected garbage. Communication modules allow for real-time monitoring and data transfer over the cloud for remote supervision. The system may also run on renewable energy sources, such as 15 solar electricity. This initiative increases garbage collection efficiency, facilitates recycling, ยท and helps to healthier maritime ecosystems and sustainable environmental management.
