MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631069726 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology Patna on June 03, 2026, for Marine Navigation Device.
Inventors include Kumar, Ravi; Raza, Md. Qaisar; and Meena, Rajeshwar.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a marine navigation device (100). The device (100) performs remotely controlled marine navigation, telemetry monitoring, obstacle detection, and gyroscopic stabilization associated with operation of a hull assembly (102). A propulsion assembly (104) generates differential thrust for enabling rudder-less navigation and zero-radius rotational maneuvering of the hull assembly (102). A first processor (106) of the device (100) receives joystick-derived navigation commands, generates propulsion control signals, and regulates propulsion operation. A sensing assembly (114) acquires inertial orientation data, ultrasonic obstacle detection data, and global positioning data associated with operational conditions of the hull assembly (102). A second processor (110) of the device (100) generates gyroscopic stabilization control signals corresponding to a gyroscopic stabilization assembly (116) and performs real-time telemetry generation. The device (100) enables rudder-less navigation and zero-radius rotational maneuvering of the hull assembly (102).
