Abstract: A system (100) for managing optical fibers in a rack includes a chassis (110) dimensioned to be received in a half rack unit space of the rack and defining cassette- receiving bays (112), cassettes (120) removably received in the cassette-receiving bays (112) and having optical fiber adapters (122, 124) at front and rear ends thereof, and a locking mechanism (130). The locking mechanism (130) has a resilient arm on either one of the cassette (120) and the chassis (110) that deflects from a rest shape upon movement of the cassette (120) along an insertion axis and returns towards the rest shape into engagement with a complementary formation on the other one, obstructing movement of the cassette (120) opposite to the insertion axis.
