Abstract: ABSTRACT MALEIMIDE-SCAFFOLDED FLUORESCENT ENEDIYNE-AMINO ACID HYBRIDS FOR SUPERCOILED DNA CLEAVAGE, ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTICANCER ACTIVITY, AND CELL IMAGING The invention provides maleimide- scaffolded fluorescent enediyne-amino acid hybrids (GB-FEd-AA) that exhibit supercoiled DNA cleavage, antibacterial and anticancer activities, and cell imaging capabilities. Synthesized from L-serine via Sonogashira coupling, these compounds cyclize at physiological temperatures, generating diradicals for biological activity. They show low IC50 against cancer cells, selectivity over normal cells, and inherent fluorescence for monitoring, addressing limitations of natural enediynes.
