Abstract: A magnetic toy building tile is provided and includes a planar housing having at least a pair of magnet retaining pockets formed within the housing and located along each outer side wall of the housing. The magnetic toy building tile further includes a magnet located within each magnet retaining pocket. Each magnet includes a north pole and a south pole thereby defining a magnetic pole axis extending along the north pole and the south pole. The magnet is sized to rotate within its respective magnet retaining pocket such that the magnetic pole axis is in magnetic attraction with a magnet of an adjacent magnet toy building tile.
