The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to magnetic green-synthesized nanoparticles for wastewater treatment, particularly to an environmentally sustainable nanomaterial-based system capable of removing contaminants while enabling convenient recovery and reuse of the treatment material. The invention provides a process for synthesizing magnetic nanoparticles using environmentally benign biological sources, including plant extracts, microorganisms, algae, agricultural residues, or naturally derived biomolecules, which function as reducing, stabilizing, capping, or surface-functionalizing agents. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibit magnetic responsiveness and surface-active characteristics that facilitate the removal of contaminants such as dyes, heavy metal ions, organic pollutants, pharmaceutical residues, and other undesirable substances from wastewater through adsorption, surface interaction, catalytic degradation, or combinations thereof. Following treatment, an external magnetic field is applied to rapidly separate and recover the nanoparticles from the treated wastewater, thereby minimizing nanoparticle loss and simplifying solid– liquid separation. The recovered nanoparticles are subjected to a suitable regeneration process for removing retained contaminants and restoring their treatment capacity and are subsequently reused in further treatment cycles. The invention integrates green synthesis, pollutant removal, magnetic separation, regeneration, and reusability into an integrated wastewater-treatment approach, thereby reducing material consumption, secondary waste generation, and dependence on hazardous chemical synthesis methods. The invention is applicable to industrial and other contaminated wastewater streams and provides a potentially efficient, economical, recoverable, reusable, and environmentally compatible solution for sustainable wastewater remediation
