Abstract: A magnetic encoder (10) detects a mechanical angle of a rotating body relative to a fixed body. A control unit (40) calculating the angle includes: a coordinate conversion unit (41) converting the three-phase signal into a first two-phase sinusoidal wave signal; a conversion processing unit (42) converting the first signal into a two-phase direct-current signal; a noise processing unit (46) removing noise from the direct-current signal; an inverse conversion processing unit (47) converting the noise- removed direct-current signal into a second two-phase sinusoidal wave signal; and a rotation angle calculation unit (48) calculating the angle from the second signal.
