Abstract: The present invention relates to a machine learning-enabled system and method for bias-free candidate screening and recruitment decision support. The system acquires candidate information from multiple structured and unstructured data sources, preprocesses and anonymizes candidate-identifying information, extracts competencies using natural language processing, and evaluates candidate suitability against standardized job profiles using one or more machine learning models. The system further detects and mitigates algorithmic bias using fairness evaluation techniques, generates explainable recruitment recommendations with candidate rankings and confidence scores, and continuously improves prediction accuracy through adaptive feedback learning. The invention enables transparent, objective, scalable, and data-driven recruitment while enhancing hiring accuracy, reducing bias, improving regulatory compliance, and promoting fair and equitable hiring decisions across diverse organizational recruitment processes.
