Inventors include B. Sonal Dinanath; P. Sudha Juliet; Dr. S. Prabhu; and Mr. D. Divakar.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: Innovative methods for improving crop resistance against diseases are becoming more and more critical as the world's agricultural problems continue. We provide a new framework for automating crop disease resistance breeding that makes use of Internet of Things (loT) and 5 machine learning (ML) technologies. The goal of this framework is to improve and simplify breeding by combining loT sensors that collect data in real-time on crop health and environmental factors with ML algorithms that analyse the data and make decisions based on it. Improved agricultural production and quality are possible outcomes of proactive disease risk mitigation strategies informed by real-time data analysis and monitoring. A new 10 approach to disease resistant breeding is emerging, one that can scale, be efficient, and adapt to different agricultural environments. To advance sustainable agriculture and solve food security problems in the face of growing disease pressures it explores the conceptual framework, prospective applications, and challenges involved with establishing such a system.
