MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611101953 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on August 24, 2026, for Machine Learning-Based System For Forecasting The Impact Of Corporate Governance Mechanisms On Renewable Energy Consumption.
Inventors include Dr. Parthvi Rastogi; Ca. Dr. Jyoti Jain; and Radhika.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a machine learning-based system for forecasting the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on renewable energy consumption. The system comprises a data input module to collect corporate governance and profitability variables; a data preprocessing module to clean missing values, organizes and formats this data for analysis and separates it into training and testing datasets; a feature engineering module constructs predictive features; the prediction engine employs Random Forest Regression and XGBoost models; the evaluation component determines performance metrics; and the explainability component uses SHAP analysis to identify influential variables for forecasting renewable energy consumption and generating governance insights. The invention automates data processing, improves modelling of nonlinear relationships, reduces manual analysis, enables reproducible evaluation, and provides scalable firm-level benchmarking, energy- transition screening, risk identification, and governance-based decision support through automated and explainable predictions.
