Abstract: Machine Learning-Based Smart Traffic Routing System Using Graph Theory and Real-Time Data Analytics is the proposed invention. The proposed invention represents a transportation network as a dynamic weighted graph and integrates real-time traffic information obtained from IoT sensors, GPS devices, traffic cameras, connected vehicles, and historical databases. A Graph Neural Network with temporal attention mechanisms predicts future traffic congestion and traffic flow conditions by learning spatial and temporal dependencies within the road network. Predicted traffic parameters dynamically update graph edge weights, enabling intelligent route optimization through reinforcement learning and adaptive path-planning algorithms. The system continuously recalculates optimal routes in response to changing traffic conditions, thereby reducing travel time, minimizing congestion, improving fuel efficiency, and enhancing transportation network performance. The invention is applicable to smart city infrastructure, intelligent transportation systems, fleet management, emergency response routing, and autonomous vehicle navigation.
