Abstract: The present invention discloses the development of an employability prediction and personalized skill development recommendation system for higher education based on machine learning which assesses and improves the employability prospects of students. This system will be used to gather data on the performance, technical skills, soft skills, certifications, experience, extracurricular activities, and other such attributes of the learner. With the help of a machine learning engine, the collected data is analyzed to predict the employability score as well as the competency gaps of the student by comparing the learner's profile to industry-specific skill requirements. On the basis of the predicted outcome, the recommendation engine produces adaptive pathways for skill development which include courses, training modules, certifications, and learning resources among others.
