Abstract: The recent rise in the use of the social media websites like Instagram has intensified the possibility of cyber bullying, presenting both threats to the online security and the mental health of the users. The proposed study suggests a hybrid approach using both the sentiment analysis and machine-learning to identify cyberbullying. The posts, comments, and messages on social media are processed using the natural language processing (NLP) approaches to detect harmful, aggressive, or insulting messages. The machine learning classifiers are created to learn how to label interactions as bullying or non-bullying in Python. Web-based interface is created using HTML, CSS, PHP, and Java which enables real-time monitoring and reporting of detected incidences. Experimental analysis proves the fact that sentiment analysis, when combined with predictive modelling, is accurate and effective in detecting.
