MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641057989 A) filed by Hindusthan College Of Engineering And Technology on May 07, 2026, for Machine Learning Based Channel Estimation In Mimo Communication Systems.
Inventors include Dr. T. Manjula; and John Joseph. D.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: Tn order to improve spectral efficiency and reduce system complexity, this study suggests a machine learning-based channel estimation technique for MIMO communication channels. In the context of mmWave massive MIMO channel estimation, the suggested system makes advantage of the hybrid precoding/beamforming idea. The idea is to precisely estimate the channel matrix by combining deep learning technology with Kalman-based hybrid precoding. Both analog and digital beamforming are used in this system to guarantee maximum performance and save expenses. MATLAB was used to develop and simulate the whole system, including all of its functionalities. Among these roles are: • The Kalman algorithm-based hybrid precoding. • Channel estimate based on machine learning principles. • Beamforming using digital and radio frequency technology. The technology may be used in multi- user MIMO systems and next-generation wireless communication technologies like 5G.
