Abstract: Machine Learning-Based Antenna Fault Detection and Predictive Maintenance System for IoT Networks is the proposed invention. The proposed invention acquires radio-frequency, channel-state, antenna-performance, and environmental parameters from one or more IoT antenna nodes and preprocesses the measurements into temporal-frequency signal representations. A self-supervised Transformer-based Masked Autoencoder learns normal antenna behavior by reconstructing intentionally masked portions of the acquired representations. During operation, reconstruction discrepancies and latent-representation deviations are used to generate an antenna health index and identify abnormal operating conditions. A temporal degradation module analyzes successive health representations to determine degradation progression and estimate remaining useful life. A maintenance decision engine combines fault severity, degradation rate, predicted useful life, and operating conditions to generate prioritized maintenance recommendations and alerts. The invention thereby provides continuous, adaptive, and predictive antenna health monitoring while reducing dependence on manually labelled fault datasets and enabling early identification of both known and previously unrecognized antenna degradation conditions.
