Abstract: A classroom presentation system is described in which a single board computer (for example, a Raspberry Pi) is connected to a conventional projector via HDMI. The single board computer hosts a local Wi Fi access point and a local web service, and performs presentation control operations including user authentication, presentation submission, queue management, teacher approval, activation, and synchronization, without requiring the projector to execute coordination software and without dependence on an external internet connection for core presentation operations. An authenticated student can upload a presentation file from a client device. The system creates a presentation record, adds it to a queue, and keeps it pending until a teacher approves or rejects it. Upon approval, the teacher activates the presentation; the single board computer converts the file to a format matching the projector’s native resolution prior to activation, reducing resolution mismatch events and presentation start time. The system enforces a single active presenter identifier and a teacher lock state, so that slide change and annotation inputs are applied only when originating from the authorized presenter and can be disabled by the teacher to prevent conflicting control during live presentation. Real time propagation of queue updates, presentation start/end events, and slide/annotation changes is provided over a local communication channel with end to end latency below a predetermined threshold. Optional camera derived hand gestures and locally recognized voice commands, processed on the single board computer, may be used for navigation. Remote annotations are reconciled against a content version identifier and rendered only when they correspond to the currently active content.
