Abstract: An illuminated mouth mirror is disclosed comprising a stainless steel handle and an interchangeable mirror head, the head defining a waterproof, ring-shaped illumination frame surrounding a mirror element mounted upon an axle within the frame. The mirror element bears a convex reflective surface on one face and a concave reflective surface on the opposite face, and is rotatable through one hundred and eighty degrees to selectively present either surface, thereby affording the clinician a broad field of view or a magnified view according to clinical need. The mirror head is attached to the handle through a snap-lock mechanism permitting tool- free attachment and detachment, independent of the axle rotation of the mirror element. Illumination is provided by a waterproof light-emitting ring integrated within the frame, powered by a battery housed within a screw-fit compartment at the base of the handle and actuated by a push-button switch, the entire assembly being constructed of stainless steel and sealed against moisture ingress.
