Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a lubrication system (200) for an internal combustion engine. The lubrication system (200) may include a pump (201) for pressurizing fluid and a fluid filter (203) that may be adapted to be fluidically coupled with the pump (201) to receive the pressurized fluid from the pump (201). A fluid distribution network (207) may be adapted to be fluidically coupled with the fluid filter (203) to receive the filtered pressurized fluid. A fluid relief passage (205) may be adapted to be fluidically coupled with the second fluid passage (204) to receive upstream of the pressurized fluid discharged from the fluid filter (203). The fluid relief passage (205) may include a pressure relief valve (208) that may be adapted to maintain the fluid pressure below or equal to a predefined threshold value (Pt) within the fluid distribution network (207).
