Abstract: The present invention LUAKB relates to a hybrid authentication system for Internet of Things (IoT) environments that provides a lightweight, secure, continuous, and adaptive mechanism for user identification based on dynamic behavioral data. The proposed system LUAKB integrates behavioral biometrics, elliptic curve cryptography, and machine learning to overcome the limitations of conventional authentication mechanisms that rely on static credentials. In this disclosed system, user behavioral dynamics are continuously collected and stored at a server during multiple login sessions. Upon accumulation of sufficient data, machine learning models including Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, and XGBoost are trained to construct a user specific behavioral profile for authentication. Continuous authentication is subsequently performed by monitoring user behavior in real time and validating it against the stored behavioral model. Futher, a secure session key is established between the user aand IoT device using ECC-based key exchange algorithm to enable encrypted communication. The system incorporated adaptive model updating to accommodate variations in user behavior over time, thereby enhancing robustness and accuracy. The proposed approach enhances security by mitigating attacks such as replay, impersonation, and man-in-the-middle attacks, while maintaining efficiency for resource-constrained IoT devices. The invention provides a scalable, lightweight, and adaptive authentication solution suitable for modern IoT applications.
