Abstract: A lower-body garment (10) configured as a dhoti, veshti or lungi is disclosed. The garment (10) comprises a garment body (10) having an unbifurcated tubular configuration extending from an upper edge to a lower hem (22), a front panel (14) forming a front drape (20), a rear panel (16), and a side portion (18). A side fastening mechanism (26) is provided along the side portion (18) to define an opening (42) in an open state and to provide structural closure in a closed state. The fastening mechanism (26) may include a zipper (28) with a slider (28a) and teeth (28b), a hook-and-eye closure (30), or a button closure (32). The garment (10) enables secure wearing without manual wrapping or tucking while retaining a traditional draped configuration. Figure 1 will be the reference.
