The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Methods systems and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to use a low power wakeup receiver (LP WUR) to monitor for a low power wakeup signal (LP WUS) when the UE operates in an idle mode. The UE may receive from a network entity a beamformed synchronization signal (BF SS) burst via a corresponding plurality of beams. The BF SS burst may enable the UE to select a beam to use to receive a paging message in an upcoming paging occasion. The UE may measure one or more of the SSs of the BF SS burst to determine a beam to use to receive the paging message. Based on reception of the LP WUS the UE may switch from the LP WUR to a main radio (MR) to receive the paging message. The UE may subsequently receive the paging message and communicate with the network entity via the determined beam.
