Abstract: A low-cost neonatal thermal wrap with an integrated temperature indicator is disclosed for preventing hypothermia in newborn infants, particularly in low-resource settings. The wrap comprises multilayered insulating materials, including an outer waterproof layer, an inner soft breathable layer, and an intermediate thermal barrier layer. A thermochromic or liquid crystal indicator provides a color-coded visual display of the infant’s temperature range, enabling easy monitoring by caregivers. The device operates without electricity, is reusable, and is compatible with Kangaroo Mother Care. The invention provides an affordable and effective solution for maintaining neonatal thermal stability and reducing hypothermia-related risks.
