Abstract: ABSTRACT LORA-BASED REAL-TIME FOREST FIRE DETECTION AND POACHING SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM The present invention relates to integrated system (100) for real-time forest fire detection and poaching surveillance in remote forest areas without internet connectivity at the detection node. The system comprises a transmitter node (110) equipped with a processing unit (112), a digital IR flame sensor (114), and an image capture device (116) connected to a fire detection module (118) employing edge machine learning inference and an intrusion detection module (120) utilizing deep learning-based object detection. Detected alerts are transmitted via a LoRa transmitter module (124) operating at 433 MHz over distances of 10 to 12 km to a receiver node (130) serving as a base station gateway. The receiver node (130) stores alert data in a database server (136) and exposes it through a backend application server (138) to a web dashboard (140) for real-time monitoring. Intermediate relay nodes (150) enable extended coverage through multi-hop communication in a star topology. [
