Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for generating a response to an input prompt using a generative artificial intelligence model. An example method generally includes generally includes generating, via a plurality of instances of an autoregressive block of a generative artificial intelligence model, a plurality of token sets. Each respective token set of the plurality of token sets may correspond to a candidate response to an input prompt. Using the generative artificial intelligence model, tokens from the plurality of token sets are verified based on a respective trajectory associated with a respective token set from the plurality of token sets. Based on the verifying, one or more n-grams in a pool of n-grams including the verified tokens are identified. A response to the input prompt is output based on the identified one or more n- grams.
