Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a rotor (9) with buried permanent magnets (14), having the following steps: - axially inserting at least one partly plastic- coated permanent magnet (14) according to claim 1 or 2 into axially running recesses (13) of a laminated core (11) which is made of axially stacked laminations and comprises a shaft receiving opening (31), said recesses (13) being designed such that the recesses (13) are provided with the maximum possible cross-section in order to facilitate the insertion of the coated permanent magnets (14), and - subsequently twisting the laminated core about an axis (6) in order to fix the permanent magnets (14) in the recesses thereof such that the laminations penetrate the coating (26) of each permanent magnet (14) with an interference fit in the recesses (13) without reaching the permanent magnets (14).
