Abstract: ABSTRACT A lifting assembly is described, comprising a support frame and at least one lifting platform arranged on the support frame. The at least one lifting platform comprises a scissor mechanism having a lower end pivotally mounted to the support frame and an upper end supporting a platform surface. At least one linear motion guide rail is arranged vertically on the support frame to provide guidance for vertical movement of the scissor mechanism. At least one cam mechanism actuates the scissor mechanism. The scissor mechanism provides vertical stroke while maintaining the platform surface parallel to the support frame through guidance of the linear motion guide rail. The lifting assembly is configured for implementation in material handling systems requiring controlled vertical positioning capabilities. FIG. 1
