Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled smart emergency response system for creating a dynamic green corridor for an ambulance while coordinating traffic infrastructure and a destination hospital. The system comprises an ambulance unit having GPS tracking, wireless communication, a driver dashboard and a smart trigger; a cloud/server platform configured for ambulance allocation, route optimization and traffic analysis; IoT-enabled traffic signal controllers having local or edge control; and a hospital/administrative unit. Upon receiving an emergency request, the system identifies an available ambulance, determines an optimized route using available traffic, road-condition and optionally weather information, and transmits authorized control commands to traffic signals along the selected route. Traffic priority is dynamically provided as the ambulance approaches corresponding intersections and normal signal operation is restored after passage. Ambulance location, route progress, estimated time of arrival and patient information are communicated to the hospital to support advance preparedness and coordinated emergency response operations.
