Abstract: The present invention discloses a library book return automation device designed to automate book return transactions in institutional libraries with reduced manual intervention. The system comprises an enclosure cabin (1) housing a camera module (2), scanner module (3), LCD display (4), scanning deck (5), conveyor bed (6), book collection tray (7), controller interface (8), level detection sensor (9), and control panel (10). The scanner module (3) identifies the returning user, while the camera module (2) captures returned book details for verification. The controller interface (8) processes transaction data and validates return information. Upon successful verification, the conveyor bed (6) transports the returned book into the book collection tray (7), which lowers progressively for organized storage. The level detection sensor (9) monitors tray capacity and generates alerts when required. The invention reduces librarian dependency, prevents transaction errors and identity mismatch issues, minimizes student waiting time, and improves efficiency of library return management.
