The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a multi-stage transmission type lean vehicle that can facilitate a transition of a lean orientation or an assist control of a pitch orientation on a continuous curve or continuous up and down road, and reduce the load on a rider. A control device in a multi-stage transmission type lean vehicle executes capacitor discharge/charge cycle. The capacitor charge/discharge cycle includes: (a) in the latter half of curve A, an acceleration control by a motor generator using the discharge power of the capacitor so as to assist engine power in transition from the lean orientation to an upright orientation in response to an acceleration command input to an accelerator grip; and (b) until the latter half of curve B, in response to an acceleration command release of the accelerator grip, a regenerative braking control for charging the capacitor with regenerative braking by the motor generator so as to recover the power of the capacitor reduced by the transition assist from the lean orientation to the upright orientation in the latter half of the curve A.
