MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078483 A) filed by Mlr Institute Of Technology on June 25, 2026, for Lead Screw Jack.

Inventor includes Mr. G. Chandra Mohana Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: A screw jack is a simple and efficient mechanical lifting device used to raise or lower loads with minimum effort. The model shown in the figure represents a compact bicycle screw jack fabricated using a threaded screw rod, nut mechanism, support frame, handle bars, and base plate. The working principle of the jack is based on the conversion of rotary motion into linear motion through the threaded screw arrangement. When the handle is rotated, the screw moves vertically, thereby lifting the load placed on the top support. The device is designed to provide stability, strength, and ease of operation for lifting bicycles and light vehicles during maintenance and repair works. The use of a threaded mechanism offers high mechanical advantage and precise lifting control. The compact structure, low manufacturing cost, and simple construction make the screw jack suitable for domestic and workshop applications. This model demonstrates the practical application of power screws in mechanical engineering and highlights the importance of simple machines in reducing human effort.
