Abstract: A lawn maintenance assistive device comprises, an elongated body 101 having a proximal and distal end, a handle 102 is attached with the proximal end that is gripped by a user to position the distal end near plant to be cut, a horizontal bar 103 installed at the distal end and assembled with a flexible C-shaped member 104, an imaging unit 105 integrated in the body 101 and paired with a processor to determine dimensioning of the plant, a pair of motorized sliders 106 integrated in between the each ends of the member and bar to translate the ends away/towards for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the member, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor embedded in body 101 for determining distance of the plant from the distal end, a telescopically operated rod 107 arranged in between the proximal and distal end to extend/retract for positioning the distal end on the plant.
