Abstract: Disclosed herein is a sustainable waste material-based brick, and method of its manufacturing. The method comprises dry mixing a binder with a fine aggregate for 3–4 minutes to obtain a dry mixture, wherein the binder comprises 25 wt.% laterite stone dust (100), 25 wt.% fly ash (200), 10 wt.% phosphogypsum (300) and 10 wt.% cement (400), and the fine aggregate comprises 30 wt.% recycled fine aggregate (500), based on the total weight of the mixture. Water is added to the dry mixture at a water-to-binder ratio of 0.25 (v/w), followed by mixing for 3–4 minutes to obtain a mouldable mixture. The mouldable mixture is poured into a brick mould of predefined dimensions and pressed at a predetermined pressure to form a pressed brick material. The pressed brick material is demoulded after 24 hours and cured by water sprinkling for 28 days to obtain the brick (600). Fig. 1
