Abstract: Provided is a latch needle capable of preventing fuzzing of yarn or yarn breakage due to yarn sliding by a method different from a conventional method. A latch needle 10 to be attached to an industrial knitting machine for use includes: a needle body 11 having a latch bearing groove 24 is formed in a slide part 22 on which yarn slides at the time of knitting; and a latch 35 inserted to the latch bearing groove 24 and rotatably attached to the needle body 11. The slide part 22 is formed with an oil groove 30 capable of holding lubricant along a longitudinal direction of the needle body 11.
