Abstract: Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel biomedical implant comprising a titanium substrate with laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) and a biodegradable polymer coating loaded with Vitamin B 12 for enhanced osseointegration. The implant features a commercially pure titanium plate subjected to fiber laser etching at 1064 nm wavelength and 20W power, creating controlled micro/nano-scale surface topography. A 50:50 blend of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) dissolved in chloroform serves as the biodegradable coating matrix, applied via dip-coating at I mm/s withdrawal speed. Vitamin B 12 is incorporated at 1000 )lg/mL concentration to provide osteogenic bioactivity. Characterization demonstrates surface roughness (Sa) of ~350 nm, increased crystallinity (66.0% vs. 42.4% for unloaded coating), and excellent cell viability (95.82%, p=0.0367). The synergistic combination of laser-induced topography, biodegradable polymer matrix, and bioactive Vitamin B 12 creates a multifunctional implant surface that promotes accelerated bone integration, making it particularly suitable for dental and orthopedic applications where rapid, stable osseointegration is criticaL
